So here's what Midwest weather looks like nine hours before "spring ahead". While it's about the eighth winter storm since January...while it's very exciting for the girls when school closes...while I do prefer the big snow storms over crappy cold/sleety days...while I am glad this didn't all start until the END of the day on Friday, my stir-crazy children and empty refrigerator are losing their patience.
We got all mummified to go outside and then spent an hour leaning on the front door to get it open. Once I was able to get it open about 12 inches, I lifted each of the girls through the opening and threw them out before forcing my way through as well.
Awesome.
We stayed outside for quite a while, digging out the garage and neighbors who felt it was extremely necessary to drive on a Saturday. Two tablespoons of lukewarm hot chocolate (is than an oxymoron?) and an entire bag of mini marshmallows later, we were thawed, tired, and very excited for spring.

Love the pictures buddy. We NEED to talk soon. It's been too long. Are you in bed now?
